A Pembrokeshire-based provider of education software, EduKey Education, has received an investment boost from the digital education business, TES Global.
The deal will see TES benefit from EduKey’s portfolio of products, which have built a global user base of more than 350,000 teachers and four million students.
EduKey was founded in 2010 by former teacher of 16 years, Duncan Wilson, and software developer, Gintas Sasnauskas.
Its two leading products are Class Charts, an artificial intelligence driven seating plan and behaviour management platform that provides instant seating plans, behaviour management and powerful behaviour analytics to support teachers in the classroom, and Provision Map, a Special Education Needs management tool.
By acquiring a stake in the Welsh business, it further positions TES as a leading edtech investor and provider of digital services to teachers and schools.
“I am thrilled that TES Global have recognised the value and potential of Edukey,” said Duncan Wilson, founder and director of EduKey.
“It has taken a great deal of hard work to get us to where we are now and we are on the cusp of an incredibly exciting new chapter for the company with Class Charts and Provision Map growing rapidly The endorsement and support of TES is hugely significant as we look to support an ever increasing number of global teachers.”
TES is home to the world’s largest online community of teachers, with more than eight million registered users, downloading one million classroom resources every day across its global marketplace.
